The execution of a judgment given by any court should be regarded as an integral part of the “trial” for the purposes of Article 6. Furthermore, the principle of the rule of law and the notion of fair trial precluded any interference by the legislature with the administration of justice designed to influence the judicial outcome of a dispute to which the State was a party.
