The article examined the phallic objects recently identified by the authors in the cemetery of Onar, Ardabil. The objects are typologically similar to the so-called mushroom-shaped phalli attested in various ancient cultures all over the world. Still, adapted to the Islamic tradition by means of re-interpretation of their form, they are used here as tomb-stones, one of them even bearing an epitaphic inscription in Arabic.
