<title> ABSTRACT </title>Anderson's work is an excellent tool for coming to terms with the global diversity of the Pentecostal movement, although not without some qualifications. More work needs to be done in the differentiation of the Pentecostal, Charismatic and so-called Neocharismatic movements, in terms of both their origins and distinct theological emphases, in order to assess more accurately their contributions and shortcomings in the areas of public witness, ecumenical relations and the strengthening of democracies, especially in the Global South.
