<title> RIASSUNTO </title>Il dialogo Iter Exstaticum di Atanasius Kircher presenta le idee cosmologiche e astronomiche del gesuita. Si tratta di un pensiero complesso nel quale si trovano elementi di filosofie diverse sulle quali predomina l'influenza di Niccolò da Cusa. Anche se approvato dalla censura interna della Compagnia di Gesù, il testo fu denunciato al Generale, il che causò una polemica tra i censori. Il testo e le riedizioni successive dell'opera dimostrano che lo sforzo di uniformare dottrinalmente la Compagnia non diede sempre i frutti sperati.
