Experiments were performed on the sterilization of eggs and larvae of Heterodera rostochiensis. Larvae could be sterilized using a I/20 dilution of "Milton" but this resulted in loss of the power of invading roots. Treatment of eggs with sterilizing agents was more difficult but 8 hours treatment with hydrogen peroxide resulted in complete asepsis with no loss of hatchability or invasive power.
