Descriptions and figures of three new species of Hemicycliophora are given : H. pauciannulata of which only females provided with a spermatheca are known, H. oostenbrinki and H. paradoxa, both with males and females. The three species exhibit a hemizonid ; this fact agrees with Thorne's hypothesis on the association of this structure with the sexual process. The males of H. paradoxa have nearly straight spicules but the other characteristics are those of the genus.
