L'auteur donne la diagnose de deux nouveaux genres de nématodes libres du sol apparentés à Rhabditis. Chaque genre est représenté par une espèce dont l'auteur donne la description du mâle et de la femelle. Les deux genres se différencient de Rhabditis par la présencc d'une dent dorsale ou plaque transversale formée par la paroi dcs meso-metarhabdions. Le genre Cheilorhabditis est caracterisé principalement par la présence des cheilorhabdions sclerotisés, courbés en forme de point d'interrogation. Le genre Odontorhabditis est caracterisé principalement par la présence des cheilorhabdions légèrement courbés mais non sclerotisés. Les deux genres ont été trouvés dans la partie souterraine d'un bananier pourri.
