Weibchen der zweiten Generation des Kleezystennematoden, Heterodera trifolii, die aus Mischkulturen der parthenogenetischen Art und des Rübennematoden, Heterodera schachtii, stammten, erzeugten mehrere Riesenlarven in einer Population von einigen tausend normalen Larven. Die Riesenlarven hatten eine Körperlänge von 675 μ und eine durchschnittliche Stachellänge von 32 μ. Die Larven sind wahrscheinlich tetraploid.
