Two new species of Criconematidae are described. Criconemoides obtusicaudatum n. sp. is distinguished by the small number of body annules (72-84), broad head, sublateral lobes and bluntly rounded tail. Hemicycliophora transvaalensis n. sp. has a smaller number of body annules (170) than any other known species in which the sheath is marked by longitudinal lines.
