Helicotylenchus spicaudatus n. sp. aus Puerto Rico ist durch eine stachelartige Spitze auf dem ventral gelegenen Vorsprung des Schwanzendes gekennzeichnet. Helicotylenchus egyptiensis n. sp. aus der Vereinigten Arabischen Republik besitzt charakteristische subcuticulare Tüpfel oder Punkte, die unter den inneren Linien der Seitenfelder am deutlichsten sind. Bei beiden Arten beträgt das Verhältnis von Schwanzlänge zur Analbreite 1,7-1,8. Auch wird ein Bestimmungsschlüssel für die Arten der Gattung Helicotylenchus mitgeteilt. H. pseudorobustus (Steiner, 1914) Golden, 1956 wird zu den Species Inquirendae gestellt.
