In soil collected from the bottom of a dry brooklet, several females and larvae of the genus Criconemoides were found and here described as a new species. They are closest related to C. xenoplax Raski 1952 and C. hercyniensis (Kischke 1956) Meyl 1961, but differ from C. xenoplax in head structure, the crenated annules and in the larvae, from C. hercyniensis in head structure, the crenated annules, length and tail form.
