A comprehensive study of the morphology and histological anatomy of Criconemoides xenoplax is reported. A detailed description of the lip region, cephalic sensory structures and the cuticularized cephalic framework; the cuticle, hypodermal chords, and somatic musculature is included. The excretory system consists of a long, cuticularly lined duct leading from the excretory pore to a ventrolaterally situated uninucleate gland. The stylet, its musculature and possible mechanism of protraction and retraction are described and discussed. The histology and nuclear structure of the esophagus are described. Further details are also given of the intestine, rectum, reproductive and nervous systems.
