Cinq populations venant d'Europe et une population des U.S.A. appartenant à Xiphinema vuittenezi n. sp. sont étudiées. Cette nouvelle espèce est caractérisée par une queue arrondie portant un faible mucron distal, la vulve située à moitié du corps environ, la présence de deux ovaires, la forme de la partie antérieure du corps et le profil de la région labiale; les mâles sont rares.
