Four new species are described and illustrated, Cobbonchus eurystoma n. sp., C. heynsi n. sp., C. dianae n. sp., and C. ockerti n. sp. C. eurystoma is distinguishable from other members of the genus by the shape of the stoma which is broad with small teeth. C. heynsi resembles C. mauritianus (Williams) Clark in some respects but differs with regard to the shape of the tail, the position of the amphidial apertures and the presence of a single prodelphic ovary. Certain features are similar in C. dianae and C. pounamua Clark, but important points of difference are size, the shape of the tail, the position of the nerve ring and the possession of one prodelphic ovary by C. dianae. The elongate stoma and small teeth of C. ockerti separate it from the other species. C. mauritianus (Williams) Clark was identified. A key to the known species of the genus is provided.
