Les auteurs décrivent et figurent deux nouvelles espèces de Helicotylenchus: H. coomansi n. sp. provenant de rhizosphère d'Iris pseudacorus L., à Deil (Pays-Bas) et H. sandersae n. sp. provenant de rhizosphère de graminées, à Gardena Pass (Dolomites, Italie). H. coomansi n. sp. est caractérisé par la position presque rectiligne du corps et un stylet mesurant 39-42 μm. H. sandersae n. sp. est proche de H. multicinctus (Cobb) dont il diffère essentiellement par des spicules plus longs et la position plus antérieure des phasmides.
