Pseudoaulolaimus anchilocaudatus Imamura, 1931, die einzige Art der Gattung, ist seit ihrer Erst-beschreibung nach Tieren aus nassem Boden eines Reisfeldes in Japan nicht wieder gemeldet worden. Nach Material von nassen Standorten in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland und den Niederlanden wird die Art wiederbeschrieben. Ihr besonderes Kennzeichen ist das ankerförmige Schwanzende, das einzigartig ist innerhalb der Nematoden.
