Among Criconematids found in Argentina there was one undescribed species Criconemella talensis, characterized by numerous body annules (R = 139-145), by unequal, large submedian lobes situated close to the median line, by the dorsal shifting of the tail end and by the vulva lip being smooth. The male (within the aberrant fourth stage juvenile) of C. sphaerocephala is described for the first time. Hemicycliophora rionegrensis is considered a junior synonym of H. ripa. Hemicaloosia paradoxa, Hemicycliophora thienemanni, H. poranga, Criconemella ornata, C. curvata and Nothocriconema mutabile are discussed. Criconemella ritteri is synonymised with C. curvata.
