The morphology of the 'disc-like organ' of Lestonia haustorifera is described on the basis of SEM-techniques. There is evidence for a gland function of this organ. The homology of the disc-like organ of Lestoniidae with Pendergrast's organ of Acanthosomatidae and the phylogenetic relationships of Lestoniidae within Pentatomoidea are discussed.
