The last larval stages of Craspedoxantha polyspila Bezzi and C. marginalis (Wiedemann) are described. Larvae of the fruit-flies C. polyspila, Urophora sp. and Acanthiophilus sp. were found in flower-heads of Centaurea perrottetii DC., which also were infested by caterpillars of a noctuid moth, Eublemma sp. Larvae of C. polyspila were the most numerous, and they were attacked by Ormyrus sp., a hymenopteran parasitoid. In flower-heads of Vernonia perrottetii Sch. Bip. only C. marginalis was found.
