ABSTRACT Hexagonalia (Xanthoidea: Trapeziidae), new genus, is described from Stylasteridae in the western Indian Ocean. Descriptions and illustrations are given for two new species of Quadrella: Q. lewinsohni and Q. serenei, and for six previously recognized species: Q. bispinosa, Q. boopsis, Q. coronata, Q. maculosa, Q. nitida, and Q. reticulata. The various synonymies are discussed and a key is provided for their identification.
