ABSTRACT The troglobitic cirolanid isopod Dodecalana yagerae, new genus, new species, is described from marine caves on Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas. Distinctive characteristics include long projections on pereiopods 1-3, setae on pleopod endopods 1-5, absence of seventh pair of legs, and absence of retinacula on maxillipedal endites. Comparisons are made to other troglobitic cirolanids, especially to Bahalana. Patterns of evolution are suggested.
