ABSTRACT Munida hawaiiensis, a new galatheid, is described and illustrated from specimens taken by the Albatross 1902 survey in the Hawaiian Islands. The new species belongs to an aberrant group within the genus centered around Munida scabra. Its affinities to the closely related species Munida proxima are discussed.
