ABSTRACT Pagurusredondoensis, new species, is the only known member of the provenzanoi group of the genus Pagurus in California. This small hermit crab occurs along the mainland of southern California and Santa Catalina Island. It is particularly common in shallow subtidal areas of King Harbor, Redondo Beach.
