<title> RIASSUNTO </title>Si presentano ventisei strumenti scientifici italiani della meta del Cinquecento. Gli strumenti mostrano somiglianze nelle scritte e nello stile. Quattro di essi presentano la firma dell'artigiano, Giovan Battista Giusti. Legati a questi sono un gruppo di strumenti da rilievo e un gruppo di nove astrolabi, non firmati ma talvolta datati. Due astrolabi indicano il nome di Egnazio Danti, cosmografo del granduca Cosimo I di Toscana. Uno degli astrolabi e il famoso strumento fiorentino comunemente ma erroneamente denominato astrolabio «Galileo». Tutti questi strumenti sono ascrivibili all'opera del laboratorio di Giusti, operativo per circa vent'anni dal 1556.
