<title> SUMMARY </title>We present here the Torelli-Cesaro, Landau-Cesaro and Cipolla-Cesaro correspondence, in addition to other relevant material discovered in the «Fondo Ernesto Cesaro». We then analyse some of the questions which arise from a study of this correspondence, such as those relating to Cesaro's invitation to Naples, Torelli's to Palermo, to teaching and mathematical culture in Palermo and so on.
