Abstract A new species of Tanaidacea from the Antarctic abyssal is diagnosed and described. It has been classified to new genus Singularia, although, at present, it cannot be assigned to any of the families established by Larsen and Wilson (2002). The genus has many characters found in the family Colletteidae Larsen and Wilson, 2002. The original key to genera of Colletteidae is presented.
